God Provides Over and Above

“To be grateful is to recognize the love of God in everything He has given us — and He has given us everything. Every breath we draw is a gift of His love, every moment of existence is a grace, for it brings with it immense graces from Him.”
– T Merton

My God, who can be your God too, provides our needs over and over again.  Not only does He provide our needs, but He does exceeding abundantly above all that I could ever even ask or think.
Ephesians 3:20  Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

Two years ago the Lord revealed to us that it was time for my husband to go in business for himself.   This was a scary move as we surely did not have lots of money in the bank nor did we want any loans.  But we knew this was of the Lord.

Today, nearly two years later, we can certainly say that the Lord provides and He does so over and above our expectations.

Since my husband is in the hvac business he always has lots of equipment.  Our backyard and small shed  and garage and another small building which he rents stay filled up.  We were in need of another building.  Little did we know how God would provide for that.

One night in the summer of 2012, we were awakened suddenly by very strong urgent knocks on our door.  Someone was there to warn us that our little shed was on fire!   You can read the story here.  Our insurance covered the contents of the building and the worth of the building.  We were thankful for that.  We put the money aside and went on with business as usual.  Needless to say, now that we had no shed, the equipment was building up.  My husband had looked into the cost of a building, but they were pretty high, more than what our insurance paid.  Recently, while talking with a friend he was told of someone who put up metal buildings at a very reasonable cost.   It was just in our price range.  The building went up quickly and we now have a large metal building which cost only $2.09 more than what the insurance co. gave us, with no extra debt and no loans!   We are so grateful!  God is good!

And You, how has the Lord provided for you over and above your expectations?  The very first provision that God has given to all of us is more and way beyond what any of us deserve.  But praise the Lord He has provided the way of eternal life which is only through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Do you know Him?
