GOD’S WAYS – WHAT ARE HIS WAYS FOR ME?

GOD’S WAYS – WHAT ARE HIS WAYS FOR ME?

God’s Ways, I really want to know what His ways are for me. While thinking about the new year, I was praying  Lord, what would you have me to dwell on this year?  He reminded me of the verse below.  What are God’s Ways for me?   I think of this verse often and pray it often, and have even had it hung on my wall,(Want One?)  But this year, this month, just seems the right time to really dwell on it.  Lord,  Show me your ways and only your ways.  Teach me Your paths.

Psalms 25:4 Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.

God's ways are perfect

There are so many paths that one could travel down.  There are so many to choose from.  I do not want to make the wrong choice. I want only God’s ways in my life.    Making one wrong choice can ruin the rest of my life.  What a wonderful day to start each day of the year, by praying, Lord show me your ways and teach me your paths!  Today show me the exact direction You want me to go and don’t let me wander from it.  Oh how many times I get sidetracked and wander off the right path.  That reminds me of Pilgrims Progress, doesn’t it you?  (affiliate link here and this just happens to be a free ebook- great add to your library!)

Do you know the word way is used 608 times in the Bible and the word ways is used 198 times?  I think the Lord thought it was pretty important that we knew which way we are going.  Do you take time each day to consider God’s ways for you?

The first and most important way is knowing for sure that you are on the road to heaven.  Only then can the Lord show you the right way to walk each and every day.  As you get to know Him better through His Word He will reveal what God’s ways are for your life.   Are you on that Path?

God's Ways - A daily prayer asking God to show us His ways and teach us His paths

How to follow God’s Ways:

  1. Make sure you are saved.
  2. Put God at the top of you to do list every day
  3. Spend time in your prayer closet every day
  4. Ask for wisdom and guidance in placing your priorities for the day.
  5. Focus on what the Lord has guided you in for that day; keep a list, number it, and keep working on it.

Remember:  It is not my responsibility to get everything done, but it is my responsibility to live according to the will of God, by letting Him guide my footsteps on a daily basis.

Col 3:23  And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

It is my desire to focus more this year on what God’s ways are for me.  Psalm 18:30 As for God, his way is perfect:
