Lift – Lift Up Others

LIFT – Oh how I want to be lifted to higher heights. One day I will be lifted from this earth of sin and go into the highest place ever. Heaven is waiting for me. How about you? This song came to mind today as I took part in Five Minute Friday where the word for today is LIFT.

Lord Plant my feet on higher ground

  1. I’m pressing on the upward way,
    New heights I’m gaining every day;
    Still praying as I’m onward bound,
    “Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.”

    • Refrain:
      Lord, lift me up and let me stand,
      By faith, on Heaven’s tableland,
      A higher plane than I have found;
      Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.
  2. My heart has no desire to stay
    Where doubts arise and fears dismay;
    Though some may dwell where those abound,
    My prayer, my aim, is higher ground.
  3. I want to live above the world,
    Though Satan’s darts at me are hurled;
    For faith has caught the joyful sound,
    The song of saints on higher ground.
  4. I want to scale the utmost height
    And catch a gleam of glory bright;
    But still I’ll pray till heav’n I’ve found,
    “Lord, plant my feet on higher ground.”

Lord, lift me up today.  Lift me up through the truths in Your Word.  And as they lift me up, help me in turn to

Lift Up Others

LIFT UP OTHERS

Encourage others through prayer and edification

Lord, I lift up my husband to you.  Encourage him, strengthen him, and help him to draw close to you.

Lord, I lift up my children and grandchildren to you.  May they seek You and remember their creator in the days of their youth and not allow sinners to entice them.

Lord, I lift up all my family and friends to You today.  For those who do not know you, may they put their trust in You as Lord and Savior.  And for those who do know You, may they live fully for You.

May we all, as God’s children, lift on another up, encourage one another to stay steadfast in the Lord until the final victory is won.
