Thursday Prayer Prompts
Many of us have heard of others doing a Thankful Thursday. What a great way to start Thursday – wake up and be thankful for something that God has done for you. Worship Him through your Thanksgiving. Sadly, I fail in this too many times. While thinking about Thursday Prayer Prompts, I really want to start off thinking about what God’s Word says about thanksgiving and prayer. Here are 12 Thursday Prayer Prompts to help guide your heart to what the Lord would have you pray for today and of course, number one is Thanksgiving!
1. Thanksgiving
Philippians 4:6-7
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Don’t be anxious – instead pray, give your requests to God and most of all be thankful as your make your requests known. The promise of peace will be yours. Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
2. Thought Life
2 Corinthians 10:5
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
3. Thorough
Colossians 3:23
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
4. This and That
1 Peter 5:7
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
5. Theology – your theology will be sound
We need to know God’s Word well enough to have sound doctrine and then in turn pray that we will be able to share it with others when necessary.
Titus 2:1
But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:
6. Thermometer – your spiritual thermometer will always be on the hot side – not warm, but hot, on fire for the Lord
Revelation 3:15-16
I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
7. Things – you will not live for the things of this world, but will instead lay up treasures in heaven
Luke 12:34
For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
8. Thirst – hunger and thirst after righteousness
Matthew 5:6
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
9. Thrifty – live a frugal thrifty life, being careful how you spend your time, talent, and treasures
Ephesians 5:16
Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Matthew 25:23
His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
10. Thousands – that thousands will come to know the Lord and you will be a powerful witness wherever you go.
Luke 4:18
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
