12 Thursday Prayer Prompts

Thursday Prayer Prompts

Many of us have heard of others doing a Thankful Thursday.  What a great way to start Thursday – wake up and be thankful for something that God has done for you.  Worship Him through your Thanksgiving. Sadly, I fail in this too many times.  While thinking about Thursday Prayer Prompts, I really want to start off thinking about what God’s Word says about thanksgiving and prayer.  Here are 12 Thursday Prayer Prompts to help guide your heart to what the Lord would have you pray for today and of course, number one is Thanksgiving! In prayer it is better to have a heart without words than words without a heart. -John Bunyan

But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:

6. Thermometer – your spiritual thermometer will always be on the hot side – not warm, but hot, on fire for the Lord

Revelation 3:15-16

I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

7. Things – you will not live for the things of this world, but will instead lay up treasures in heaven

Luke 12:34

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

8. Thirst – hunger and thirst after righteousness

Matthew 5:6

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

Matthew 25:23

His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

10. Thousands – that thousands will come to know the Lord and you will be a powerful witness wherever you go.

Luke 4:18

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
