7 ways to have a Beautiful Garden

It’s that time of year again!   SPRING!   I love spring; everything starts to turn green,  the daffodils start peeking out,  the trees are showing new life,  pretty colors are showing up everywhere, the birds are singing, the days are longer and everything starts coming alive!    It is just a gorgeous time of year.

It is time to start planting flower gardens and enjoying the beauty all around you.

It is a time to remember the goodness of God and the new and abundant life that He gives.

Seven Ways to have a Beautiful Garden. How Does Your Garden Grow?

Do you have a garden?  What does it look like?

How about a spiritual garden?   Is it growing or is it full of weeds.

Here are several ways to have a beautiful Spiritual Garden.

Hopefully your Spiritual garden has:

1. The seed planted in your own life and are saved by grace

2.  Lots of “Sonshine” through the giver of light, Jesus

3. Praised God for the “Rain” – Often our Spiritual Garden must depend on the rains of trials and tribulations to give growth

4. Weeds and Bugs removed conintually –  Sin needs to be kept out of our Spiritual garden.

5.A fence around it to keep intruders out – Guard your heart and be careful what you let in

6. Transplanted some seedlings – Share the beauty of your garden and other seeds will surely be planted

7. Attracted others to your garden

Each year I realize that although working on my Spiritual Garden may not always be easy, it is still my responsibility to take care of it!

Sometimes I don’t see the growth I would like to see, but if I don’t tend to it daily, it will certainly shrivel up and die.

I can make a choice to care for my garden or to give up on it. But it is certain that if I give up I will never see a spring and summer filled with fragrant flowers and luscious fruit.  I will never see NEW GROWTH in my garden.

One thing is certain, if I am growing in grace and in knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18) and letting God’s Word dwell in me richly and teaching and admonishing others in Psalms and hymns and spiritual songs (Colossians 3:16) then one day my spiritual growth will come to completion and I will be satisfied as I awake with His likeness.

Psalms 17:15 As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.

Will you have a flourishing beautiful garden this year?  Let the Lord be your gardener and produce a garden that will be beautiful and last forever.
