A Window of Time and a True Story
A few years ago my mother-in-law was in an accident. She accidentally forgot to put her car in park when she left it running in her driveway as she ran to retrieve a forgotten item from the house.
A Window Of Time
Upon returning, she began to get back into the car and it started rolling backwards. As she attempted to jump in and step on the brake, she was caught by the car door, was drug backwards and her own car ran her over.
As I was trying to stop the car, I heard the Lord say to get away now, get out of the way, but instead of listening, I kept trying to “save my car”. As a result, I was run over and badly injured. She says, I believe that God gives us a window of time and it is up to us to listen to the Spirit of God and obey His voice or we may lose that window of time or opportunity. We never know how long that time may be; it may be a few seconds or a long time, therefore we should obey immediately, leaving the results to God.
May I ask a question? What is your window of time today?
Christian Friend, this applies to us too.
What if I gain all the treasures that earth has to offer?
True I may be saved and have an eternal home in heaven, but I have lost all because I have not stored up treasure in heaven.
Matthew 6:19-21 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Psalms 25:4 Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.
May I redeem the time for the Lord’s sake today paying attention to the window of time or opportunity that He has given me.
Ephesians 5:15-17 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
And non Christian Friend, don’t wait, thinking that your window of time will last until your death bed.
2 Corinthians 6:2 . . . behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
Don’t let your window of time slip away. This could be your last day.
