Can you Wait and Not Be Patient?

Psalms 40:1 I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

Can I wait and not be patient?  I think so.  How often have I anxiously waited – pacing, worrying, wondering, conniving.  I need to ask the Lord to help my waiting to be patient and to help me remember that tribulation worketh patience.
Can You wait and not be patient?

 

Romans 5:3  And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

James 1:3  Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

The result of my waiting patiently for the Lord is that He will incline unto me and hear my cry.
As you wait – serve the Lord,  commit your way to Him and let Him bring it to pass in His timing and in His way.


Psalms 40:2-4  He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.  And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
