    Another Day Trip

    I so enjoyed our little day trip to the mountains again this past weekend.  How I love the Blue Ridge!  We found another waterfall that we had not hiked to before.  It was not a hard hike, but was on one of those paths less travelled although we did meet two groups that were hiking to the same falls.  I guess with internet access it is a lot easier to find these places.  Anyway, we hiked to Rufus Morgan Falls.  It was not the most beautiful falls I had ever seen, but nevertheless, it was an enjoyable hike and a very pleasant day.     A short getaway

      This was our 35th “first anniversary” on Valentine’s Day.  We had thought about staying somewhere in the mountains, but decided instead to take day trips.  I would much rather use my own facilities anyway, and since we are so close to the mountains and other hiking areas, we opted for this instead.  We had a great time.  On Sunday, the 13th, we went to Crossroad Baptist Church with our Mel, Jenny, and the 5 K’s!   We enjoyed eating at Wendy’s with them after church!  The church is doing well and the Lord is blessing.  You can see their website here.     Roaring Falls, NC

    Roaring Falls Affiliate Links included in this post (full disclosure) If you like waterfalls, then Roaring Falls should be added to your list.  It is an easy enough hike for Grandma to take and is quiet and relaxing.  If you are in the western NC mountains traveling the Blue Ridge  then Roaring Falls won’t be far away.
