GOD WITH US- A Journey Home – Book Review
As a grandmother of 21, it is my heart’s desire to instill Biblical Truths into all of my children’s and grandchildren’s’ hearts. The truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ ought to be the number one thing I want them to grasp. “God With Us” is written in a way to do just that!
As I began reading this book, I couldn’t stop. It is an overall view of the gospel from the beginning of the Bible to the end. It is simply amazing and wonderful that one can see Jesus Christ throughout the whole of the Scriptures.
“God With Us” would be a great book to use as a family devotional. Read each chapter and go through the Bible story by story. Let your children and grandchildren see and hear the gospel of Christ which is the theme of God’s Word. They will see that this world is not our home, that we are born sinners in need of a Savior, that there is suffering and hurt in this present world because of sin and that God did not destine us to stay here forever. We are on a journey and when we come to know Christ, we will one day end that journey in our eternal home Heaven! Praise God!
The author tells us that he “wants to awaken children to a brave journey — a journey home. This storybook aims to share their vision of the world as a place in-between, to awaken them to the brave journey they must take toward their true home — their home with God.”
