He is Able - When we are not able, our God is able!

HE IS ABLE!

He is able! God is able! Yes, He is able – I am not able, but He is! What a wonderful glorious thought and truth. When we think we cannot do it, then we can realize that God is able!

God Is Able

God was able to do all of the following:

Joseph – He was able to flee sin

Genesis 39:9 . . . how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?

Joseph’s brothers – they were able to talk with Joseph after they realized his forgiveness

Genesis 45:15 Moreover he kissed all his brethren, and wept upon them: and after that his brethren talked with him.

Once we trust Jesus as Savior and realize His forgiveness, then we too are able to talk to Him face to face.  We are able to come boldly before the throne of grace.  Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Jochobed – She was no longer able to hide Moses, but God was able to save him and use him in a mighty way

Exodus 2:3 And when she could not longer hide him, she took for him an ark of bulrushes, and daubed it with slime and with pitch, and put the child therein; and she laid it in the flags by the river’s brink.

Moses – he was not able to speak, but God was able to give him speech.

Exodus 4:12 Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.

Caleb – was able to overcome giants in his life

Numbers 14:24 But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it.

Moses was not able to lead and counsel on his own, but God was able to show him how

Exodus 18:21 Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thousands, and rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens:

Three Hebrew children – knew God was able to deliver from the fiery furnace

Daniel 3:17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.

Daniel – able to interpret dreams

Daniel 2:28 But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these;

David – was able to kill the giant

1 Samuel 17:47 And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD’S, and he will give you into our hands.

Paul – was able to fight the good fight

2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

Timothy – God was able to make him wise unto Salvation

2 Timothy 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

He is Able - When we are not able, our God is able!

Yes, He is Able!

Study the Scripture and find He was able to do all of the following.  Give a Bible Verse that matches each one.  Can you?  Can you also add to the list?  What have you found that God is able to do according to Scripture  in your own life?  Don’t we serve a Great God?   A God that is able!

He is able to number the stars and tell them all by name

He is able to count all the hairs on our heads and tell our names

He is able to abase all who walk in pride

He is able to deliver from the mouth of lions

He is able to heal

He is able to hold you/ keep you forever.

He is able to make us fishers of men ( and an application to this would be that He is able to prosper us in our line of work )

He is able to fully perform all He has promised.

He is able to keep anything from separating us from God.

He is able to make us able to encourage others.

He is able to help us bear temptation,  ANY TEMPTATION!

He makes us able minsters.

He is able to do exceeding abundant above all we ask or think.

He is able to change our vile bodies.  Why?  Because He is able to make all subject to Himself.

He is able to enable me.

He is able to keep that which I’ve committed to Him against that day.

He is able to make us wise unto Salvation.

He is able to help us in temptation.

He is able to save to the uttermost.

He is able to raise the dead.

He is able to save your soul.

He is able to tame the tongue.

He is able to save or destroy.

He is able to keep you from falling.

He is able to rule the world in righteousness and destroy evil once and for all.

Do we really believe that He is Able!  He is just the same, yesterday, today, forever.  When I am not able, I can rest assured that He is able!
