Hidden

What do you think of when you think of the word Hidden? 

Have you hidden the Word of God in your heart today?  

When I think of hiding something, it goes into a secret place.

What is hidden in the secret places of your heart?  Is it worldly pleasures or is it setting your affections on things above?  

Oh how we need to hide God’s Word in our hearts way more than we do (at least I do!).  

For it is when we hide it in our hearts that it keeps us from sinning. Psalms 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.  

How else can we defeat the devil?  

How else can we have recourse to fall on in the midst of our day when burdens are great or we are growing weary?  

We must have something special hidden in that secret place of our hearts.  We must have God’s Word hidden there!  

It must be our delight and our meditation day and night.  

If those Words are hidden there then when the time is right we have it right at our fingertips when we need to teach them diligently to our children and grandchildren.  

When Persecution comes then we will have it there hidden in our hearts and no man can take it from us.

Psalms 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  As we dwell in His secret place, as we hide in Him, then He will fill our hearts with those hidden secrets from His Word.
