How Many Days Do You Have Left On This Earth?
How many days do you have left on earth? None of us can answer that question, but we all know that we all die. Some die young, some in between and some on into old age. But no man knows the day or the hour. It is only God who knows our appointed time. Yes, we have an appointment with God; that is death and then the judgment.
One statistic I read said that there are over 150,000 death every day.
105 people die each minute and 2 every second.
I can honestly say that every night when I get into bed, I think, I may not be here tomorrow and every morning when I get up, I say thank you Lord for another day, but this could be my last.
Really, these are good thoughts for they keep my mind on the Lord, His mercy, His grace, and His patience. (friend, He is not willing that any should perish and spend eternity in hell)
It makes me realize how short is my life on earth and how important it is to live daily as unto the Lord and share the truth of the gospel.
So how many days do you have left on the earth before you get to your appointment?

Moses wrote Psalm 90 and he realized how important it was to number his days.
He knew that only God was from everlasting to everlasting and that a thousand years in His sight are but as yesterday…and we spend our years as a tale that is told.
He speaks of our days being 70 years and if God gives us more they are strength and labour and sorrow and then we SOON fly away. (When my dad turned 70 he would say “I’m living on borrowed time”)
Psalms 90:12 reads: So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
We cannot count our own days left here, but
We can certainly consider our own frailty,
We can consider how short life is and the uncertainty of life.
We can also consider that is possible to live for eternity if we’ve been redeemed by the blood of the Savior
And because of our redemption
We can die in peace and in favor with God
We can know that we will live and reign with Him eternally.
Have you considered these things? Are you numbering your days, not by counting them, but by valuing them in the light of eternity?
APPLY YOUR HEART TO WISDOM
Once we’ve realized the importance of counting our days, we can apply our hearts to wisdom. Here are four important ways:
- Make sure you know Jesus as your Savior
- Accept the Bible as your guide for life.
- Obey the bible and apply its’ truths to your life.
- Pass these truths along from generation to generation. Instill biblical truths into the lives of your children and grandchildren.
Remember, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
The older I get the more I realize that
We are just a vapor appearing for a little while and then vanishing away. Jas_4:14
We are all as grass and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. We wither and then fall away: 1Pe_1:24
Although we cannot know how many days we have left on this earth,
May we apply our hearts to wisdom and pray as Moses did in Psalm 90:17
And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us:
and establish thou the work of our hands upon us;
yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.
