…In Everything by prayer…with Thanksgiving…

In God’s Word, it says, in everything by prayer . . .  with Thanksgiving.  We even need to consider little things as everything to pray about.

Philippians 4:6  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

How often do we pray about the little things?

If you limit your prayers to just the big things in life, you miss hundreds of opportunities for sweet communion with God.

Not often enough for myself.  My husband has his own heating and air business and he is pretty much a one man show.  We live in a small town and he has been blessed with a very good base of Customers.  For this we are grateful.  He realizes the importance of giving God the glory in his jobs, knowing that ultimately his knowledge and skill come from the Lord.  Many times the Lord has answered prayers in what one might consider a little matter when an answer was needed regarding one of his jobs.  For instance, yesterday he was nearly finished putting in a furnace for a customer and had really anticipated having it finished that evening.  However, a part broke and it was too late to even call about a replacement.  He really was not sure how he was going to fix it because the part, even though small, was not a part in itself. This was going to include ordering a very big part all over again and perhaps would cause him to take a loss.  It would also cause the customer to perhaps have to wait a little longer for the job to be finished while the part was ordered.   We committed it to the Lord; I went to bed with this on my mind and asked the Lord several times to make a way.  HE DID!  I got up this morning and my husband walked up to me with the part in his hand.  He had one!   Wow!  Talk about an answer to prayer.  These little things are just as special as the big things.  They let us know how much God cares.

Oh yes, my friend, He cares!

1 Peter 5:7  Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Psalms 40:5  Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

To think that God’s thoughts of each one of us cannot be numbered is amazing!

Matthew 10:30  But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

So today as I counted my blessings, I was thankful for the answered prayer and the fact that God cares about even the smallest incident in my life.  It caused me to lift up my voice in praise to My Heavenly Father for His great kindness toward us!   He is ever merciful!

Do you know this kind and Caring Friend?   You can.
