Instilling Biblical Truths Into My Grandchildren – The Bible is Your Sole Authority for Life
The sole authority for anyone’s life ought to be the Bible and this is something I need to instill into my grandchildren’s hearts. The Bible is where truth comes from. I need to tell them over and over that God’s Word is truth and it is where we should get final answers for our lives. I need to make sure that the Bible is my sole authority and that I am living it out in front of them on a daily basis.
God’s Word Can Be Fully Trusted
God’s Word is certain. We can trust it implicitly; it is true, it is sure, it is reliable, it is always right and it can give the answers of life in any area. I want my grandchildren to learn to base their lives on the Word of God, knowing they can find all life’s answers there and can also be ready to give an answer to anyone else who may ask. The Bible can be and should be their counselor for life. I want my grandchildren to believe that they should never take man’s authority above Biblical authority. Any counsel they get from man should be based on God’s Word. (affiliate link)
Proverbs 22:21 That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee?
Psalms 33:11 The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.
Proverbs 19:21 There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.
As parents and grandparents, lets begin today by first of all setting the example of God’s Word taking charge of our own lives. When they see that we are “for real” then they too may want to make sure that the Bible is their own authority for life. Most of all pray for each of them to have a desire to follow the Lord wholly.
