It Is No Secret- Revealing Secret Sisters
It Is No Secret – Revealing Secret Sisters
Here is a unique way for revealing secret sisters. At this point it need to be tweaked a little bit, but perhaps you could add some of your suggestions in the comment box. Otherwise I will try my best to explain what we did for on this day it will be no secret who the secret sister is of each lady.
Fun Fun Fun
We decided to have some fun with this and planned our meeting around the “Secret” Theme. It turned out quite well and we had a great time! My daughter was the “master mind” behind the “it is no secret” game and although it was a little long, it was still great fun! Below is he gist of the plan:
- Ladies involved in secret sisters brought a small gift to present to their secret sister after revealing
- Tables were set with envelopes which included clues for finding out which secret sister belonged to who.
- As soon as announcements were made and everyone was welcomed, we began our game since it was going to make up most of the meeting.
- The Game was a Secret Sister Scavenger Hunt.
- Clues were placed into small envelopes and the envelopes were hid around the room.
- On the “go” signal the ladies got up and began collecting the envelopes for their table. The envelopes were marked in such a way that they knew which ones to collect for their table.
- They were to match those clues with the information about the secret sisters which was inside the larger envelope that had been placed on their table. The first table to get the most correct within the allotted time was the winner and each one at that table won a Chick-Fil-A gift card.
- Below the ladies work vigorously at their clues! Some were bewildered, others figured it out quickly. Like I said, the game needs to be tweaked a little and we hope to do a little better version next year. But over all it was a fun time and everyone enjoyed it!

Thoughts and Scriptures on the word SECRET
Mrs. Bettie also sang It Is No Secret
The chimes of time ring out the news
Another day is through
Someone slipped and fell
Was that someone you?
You may have longed for added strength
Your courage to renew
Do not be disheartened
For I have news for you
It is no secret what God can do
What He’s done for others, He’ll do for you
With arms wide open, He’ll pardon you
It is no secret what God can do
There is no night for in His light
You never walk alone
Always feel at home
Wherever you may go
There is no power can conquer you
While God is on your side
Take Him at His promise
Don’t run away and hide
It is no secret what God can do
What He’s done for others, He’ll do for you
With arms wide open, He’ll pardon you
It is no secret what God can do
I was able to catch part of the song on video.
Before enjoying our lunch we concluded the meeting by singing “In the Secret of His Presence“ , for that is the best secret place to be!
In the secret of His presence
How my soul delights to hide!
Oh, how precious are the lessons
Which I learn at Jesus’ side!
Earthly cares can never vex me,
Neither trials lay me low;
For when Satan comes to tempt me,
To the secret place I go.
When my soul is faint and thirsty,
’Neath the shadow of His wing
There is cool and pleasant shelter,
And a fresh and crystal spring;
And my Savior rests beside me,
As we hold communion sweet;
If I tried, I could not utter
What He says when thus we meet.
Only this I know: I tell Him
All my doubts and griefs and fears;
Oh, how patiently He listens!
And my drooping soul He cheers;
Do you think He ne’er reproves me?
What a false friend He would be,
If He never, never told me
Of the sins which He must see.
Would you like to know that sweetness
Of the secret of the Lord?
Go and hide beneath His shadow;
This shall then be your reward;
And whene’er you leave the silence
Of that happy meeting-place,
By the Spirit bear the image
Of the Master in your face.
(Repeat the last line of each stanza)

Of course, you can’t have a good ladies meeting without food!
Below: Me with my daughter – she was my right hand helper for this meeting and the brains behind our game. Such a blessing to me!
