We are to keep the commandments in God’s Word and continually seek more and more of His Word.

In keeping of them there is great reward! (Psalm 19:11)

Who doesn’t love a reward! Yet, how many great rewards have we missed because we have not kept the commandments of the Lord?

There is a wage, and a great one; though we earn no wages of debt, we win great wages of grace. Saints may be losers for a time, but they shall be glorious gainers in the long run, and even now a quiet conscience is in itself no slender reward for obedience. – from the Treasury of David

Let us keep God’s Word in our hearts and treasure it always. It will never rust or be eaten by moths. It is more precious than gold! Do I really believe that? If I do I will want to keep it forever. It will be my continual meditation. (See Psalm 19)

We are bound to keep with all care the word of God, because it is his testimonies. We shall have to give an account, for we are put in trust with the gospel, and woe to us if we be found unfaithful. -treasury of David

We can only keep His word as we seek the Lord continually. Seek Him with your whole heart. He alone brings lasting and true satisfaction. There is nothing in this world that can satisfy the soul. As the deer pants for water, let our souls pant after God!

How blessed we are if we keep and seek God and His Word with our whole heart!

You can only keep God’s testimonies, if you are kept by His power, the power of God unto salvation.
