March 2013 Review

Well, March has come and gone already!  The collage below is our month in review.  We enjoyed lots of time with grandkids.  Four of them had birthdays this month.  Audrey and Addy wanted to go hiking for their birthday so off to Crowder Mtn. we went for a two mile hike to the pinnacle.  It was fun, but I sure paid for it for a few days after.  Still, I wouldn’t trade that time with four of our granddaughters. – Priceless!    Kole and Caleb also had a birthday. I got one shot of Kole, but none of Caleb.

Of course we miss our three little munchkins in Brazil so I had to add a picture of them.  We like it when they skype with us and we can at least see them for a few minutes.

Mel also took a quick trip to Washington DC to stand up for marriage between one man and one woman.  No matter what the world tells us, marriage as God designed it can never be redefined.

And of course, hubby and I enjoyed mountain times – one of our favorite things to do.  We actually left on March 30th to enjoy our 36th anniversary which was coming up on April 2nd.  We hiked a few of our favorite spots including Tom Creek Falls,  and Carver’s Gap at Roan Mountain.  I sure didn’t expect 30 degree weather on Roan Mountain, but I just couldn’t resist treking at least part way up the pathway.  So slip and slide we did over the snowy icy path.  We had a good time, but I would much rather be there in June when the rhododendrons are in bloom.  God is so good to us!  God is good all the time and we appreciate all the added blessings He sends along our pathway.
