Path – Which one are you on?
All of us are on a path. Some are on the path of life and some are on the path that leads to destruction. There are no other paths. Which one are you on? As I take part in Five Minute Friday this week, these were my thoughts:
Are you on the straight and narrow path or the wide path that leads to destruction?
Matthew 7:13-14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
As a Child of God we are on the straight and narrow path and the Lord should be leading us.
The Lord is my shepherd … He leads me in the paths of righteousness (Psalm 23)
Show me your ways o Lord and teach me your paths.
Lead me in a plain path.
And when I walk through the path of the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for thou are with me.
You will be our guide along the path forever and ever. You will be our guide even unto death!
Never did we think that one of our loved ones would go along the path of death this week. We never know and that is why we must follow God’s path and be ready for death. It is appointed unto man once to die and after that the judgment.
Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Yes, death will be on everyone’s path and they must be ready for it. Are you ready?
So many people are walking the paths of pleasure and worldliness and do not even stop to think that death could be on the path for that day. Friend this could be your last day on the path of life. Hopefully you are on the path of eternal life so that when death comes knocking you are ready, for death is no respecter of persons.
Is today your last day? Will the paths you walk on this earth be ended today? We don’t know. It very well could be. Are you ready for that appointment with God?
