Seven Ways to have Satisfaction in life
4. Speak to yourself in Psalms and Hymns – Do you have a melody in your heart? When Jesus takes us out of the miry clay and sets us upon the ROCK to stay that is great reason to sing. He puts a new song in our hearts.
5. Stay in Fellowship with God – Confess your sin, read His Word and meditate on it, talk to Him on a regular basis.
6. Fulfil the ministry to which you are called – What has the Lord called you to do? You may be a homemaker, wife, and mom and a grandmother! That’s your highest calling. Fulfill it to your best! Whatever your your call, fulfill it! That will bring satisfaction.
7. Teach the Word of God to your children and grand children – instill Biblical Truths into their hearts. Remember, these precious souls are the only “thing” we can take with us into eternity. I don’t want one of mine to be left behind.
Deuteronomy 6:7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
Psalms 78:1 Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth.
Psalms 78:6 That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children:
Am I sharing God’s Word as I ought with my children and grandchildren so that they too will want to share it with their children?
Psalms 78:7-8 That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments: And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not stedfast with God.
What a joyful abundant life we will have as we see the following happen in the lives of our children according to the above verses:
a. Don’t you want to see them set their hope in God?
b. Don’t you want to see them not forget God?
c. Don’t you want to see them keep His commandments?
d. Don’t you want to see them not be stubborn and rebellious?
Joyful abundant life in our homes is possible when Christ is first and foremost in everything we do or say. It all comes down to trust and obey for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus.
