Do you have a special needs child?   Don’t Lose Hope!

The author of the following book had a special needs child and she tells one that no matter how difficult the road, you don’t have to lose hope.

This devotional book is entitled A Different Dream for My Child by Jolene Philo, and can be purchased here.

A Different Dream for My Child - Meditations for parents of critically ill or chronically ill children

The devotional meditations in this book talk about the spiritual needs of  parents; the author shares her own life lessons, as well as those of other parents who have walked this road.

Although I do not have a special needs child,  I have had a grandchild that was in the NICU for the first two weeks of his life while he struggled to keep his life.

In the NICU

I have known and helped others who have had special needs children.  They have always been a blessing and encouragement to me.
I had posted the following true story regarding our grandson, Caleb, HERE,  and as I read this little book, it reminded me of the trials faced while he was in the NICU and how God taught us so many lessons.  Caleb is now a thriving 4 year old.
I hope you will take time to read the testimony written by his daddy; it really is a blessing to read to see how God worked in and throughout this circumstance.  As of child of God we can be assured that He never leaves or forsakes us.
Here is Caleb today with his big sisters.  Isn’t he so handsome?  Well, I am a little prejudiced,  but I can’t help it.  I just think all of my 17 grandchildren are beautiful!  What a blessing from God!
