Teachers–What kind of teacher are you?
We all teach someone every day.
Most important, our teaching should be biblically based:
- Biblical teaching needs to be done with prayer. Prayer is vital. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.
- Biblical Teaching needs to be done with much studying. 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
- Biblical Teaching needs to be done with application. Apply what you teach to your own life.
James 1:22-24 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
