Thanksgiving and Praise to God – God Answers Specific Prayers

Praise God that He does answer specific prayers.  I have doubted that at times and other times I have seen Him answer certain things I have asked for.  I only wish that I had written more down to be reminded of God’s goodness to me.  What a God we serve and how He deserves our Thanksgiving!

Although past things are great reminders and encouragers, I need to press on.  What have I asked the Lord for today?  First of all I need to remember that when I ask, I must ask in faith and not just ask according to what my flesh wants.

James 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

An Old Testament Example:

The servant of Abraham said:

“O Lord God of my master Abraham, I pray thee, send me good speed this day, and shew kindness unto my master Abraham.”

Abraham’s servant was sent to find Isaac a wife.  He prayed specifically that God would answer quickly and show him kindness through his requests.  Read the whole story in Genesis 24.  God did just that for him!

What have you asked God for lately?  Are you crying out to God on behalf of our nation, our world during what is being called a pandemic? Are you coming boldly to His throne of grace to find help in your time of need? Are you praying specific prayers?  Ask God to direct you in what to pray and He will.

The servant was not just concerned for his own success, but that his success would be for the well being of his master.  Our success ought to bring glory to THE MASTER, Jesus Christ. Otherwise it is not real success.

What prayers has God answered for you lately?  Ask, seek, knock and it will be given, found, and opened.  He knows what we need before we even ask, but still wants us to come to Him. Make your requests known unto Him with Thanksgiving.

Philippians 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. #askseekknock #pray #Godanswers #peace
