The Great Missing Flag Caper! – A Patriotic Book Review For Children
Do you love America? I do. But I realize at this point, America is not in very good shape. Oh how we need to pray for our country. But I do praise the Lord that this world is not my home and I’m just passing through and one day I will inherit an eternal country (Hebrews 11:16) that will be my home forever. Will you be there with me?
As I think of this Christmas season once again, I praise the Lord that our country and the whole world was offered the greatest gift ever, the gift of redemption. This is the one and only thing that can shape up America or anyone! It must start in the heart of each child of God repenting of their own sin and turning back to God and then sharing the good news of Christ the Savior with others.
I’m still thankful for America!
Even though we are in rough shape (if you pay attention to the news, your should know what I mean), praise God we still have freedoms and we can still share the Gospel. How I want my grandchildren to know our history (which is slowly being taken from us) and to know The One who allowed us our freedom.
Recently, I reviewed a little book called The Great Missing Flag Caper!

It was written by MaryTerese Grabowski, who was born into an Air Force family. Her patriotism only grew over the years. She realized the need of instilling patriotism into our children and this is one of her books.
It’s a great patriotic story that kids would love and learn from.
My grandchildren have enjoyed reading this book (and so did I!) and I’m glad they did. It’s the story of a girl who was chosen to be on flag duty at school, but the very first day the flag disappeared! Where could it be and who took it? She and her classmates begin the great search for the flag and along the way learn some interesting fun facts about “Old Glory”. Why not let your children read it and enjoy searching for the flag with them? They would certainly enjoy helping to solve the mystery.

I would not hesitate to recommend this book (AFF. Link) – it will hold the attention of your children, your grandchildren, or anyone and will teach them true patriotism. It has challenged me as a grandma to instill patriotism into my grandchildren, to repeat our history and to let them know how we got our freedom and most of all to know the freedom one can have in Christ.
