There’s No Middle Of The Road
I’ve joined the Five Minute Friday blog link-up to write for five minutes on an assigned word. This week the word is MIDDLE.
You cannot be in the middle of the road when it comes to knowing Jesus. You are either on one side or the other. We are all born on the devil’s side unfortunately. For in sin, we were conceived because and by one man, Adam, sin and death entered the world. We are born sinners, automatically on the devil’s side.
He made a way for us to get to the other side.
But listen, the way there is narrow and few there are who take it. The devil’s side is wide, and many are on it trying to make their own way.
Matthew 7:13-14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
The only way to get out of the middle of the road is to trust Jesus and what He did for us on the cross of Calvary. We cannot trust in our good works for God’s Word says they are but filthy rags in His sight.
Isaiah 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
No deeds of the law will justify us in any way.
Cross The Bridge
To get off the devil’s side we must cross God’s bridge to Salvation. Have you crossed it? Remember you cannot straddle the middle of the road, for there is no middle. Trying to stand in the middle will only get you run over flat and result in death. Get on the Lord’s side where there is life and peace.
