Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing. (Psalm 145:16)

When will things OPEN?

Are you a little uptight?  Maybe a little antsy?  Wondering when things will all be back to normal and life will “open up” again? Possibly things will never be the same, But one thing that will always be the same is God!

His hand is open always to satisfy our souls.

Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing. (Psalm 145:16)

Thou openest thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing. (Psalm 145:16)

This “pandemic” has caused Stay at Home Orders around the world and across our nation. Everyone is eager for things to reopen.

Although I would love for things to reopen and get back to “normal”  I must admit that  my schedule never really changed much.  It’s just been an almost eerie feeling to be locked down at home, knowing there is nowhere to go.

Thinking about “open”,  the Lord impressed several thoughts on my heart and mind.

Rather than praying

Lord, would you end this and open things back up?

Maybe I should pray the following:

-OPEN my eyes to see wonderful things from your Word “

showing to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done. (Ps. 78:4)

-OPEN my ears to hear what You are saying to me and to act upon it

James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

-OPEN doors for us to share the wonderful message of the Gospel

Ephesians 6:19 that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel

-OPEN the eyes of the Spiritually blinded.  Help them to see You, their Creator, and what you did for them on the Cross.  Help them to see and believe.

John 6:40 that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life

-OPEN the ears of the Spiritually deaf.  May they hear Your Word and believe

John 5:24 He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life

-OPEN my lips to sing to you and of you and to declare the works of the Lord

Psalm 105:2 Sing unto Him, sing psalms unto Him: talk ye of all his wondrous works.

-OPEN my hands to give to the needy

Psalm 41:1 Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.

-OPEN YOUR mouth to judge righteously for the needy and poor.  Oh, Lord, we are a needy people, make no tarrying to help us

Proverbs 31:9 Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.

-May we OPEN our treasures and present our gifts to you. Use them as You see fit

Matthew 2:11 . . . and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts

May we OPEN our closets of prayer, enter in and pray secretly, knowing you will reward us openly

Matthew 6:6 . . . enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

-May we knock until You OPEN doors for us.

Matthew 7:8 to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

-Come quickly, Lord to OPEN the graves of the righteous so we can be caught up in the air together with you and be forever with the Lord.

Revelation 22:20 I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

-Lord, please OPEN your ears to our prayers as we pray in Your name and according to Your will.

Psalm 34:15 The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

I thank you Lord that You alone are worthy to open the book for You were slain for the redemption of the sins of the world.  May all who see and read this know that You are their redeemer and that their name is written in the Lamb’s book of life.  May they open their ears and eyes to THE WAY,  THE TRUTH, and THE LIFE!  Jesus said – I am the way, the truth and the life – no man can come to the Father but by me.  It is not too late to open your heart and let Him in.

Revelation 5  Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: . . .Worthy is the Lamb that was slain
