Where Is Your Dwelling Place

Where Is Your Dwelling Place?

Where is Your Place?

Do you have a quiet place to start your day or where you can retreat to during the day to spend time with the Lord?

Oh how I would be lost without my quiet place.  Immediately this song comes to mind.

There is a Quiet Place
by Ralph Carmichael, 1967

There is a quiet place
Far from the rapid pace
Where God can soothe my troubled mind

Sheltered by tree and flow’r
There in my quiet hour
With Him my cares are left behind

Whether a garden small
Or on a mountain tall
New strength and courage there I find

Then from this quiet place
I go prepared to face
A new day with love for all mankind

Psalms 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Where Is Your Dwelling Place

Where do you dwell?  Is it in the secret place of the most High?

We are privileged to dwell in the presence of the Most High God, Jesus Himself.  Oh that I would spend more time with Him and pray more!

The secret dwelling place of God is His Word. In His Word, God reveals the wonders of His grace and love. Dwelling with God means hiding His Word in our hearts by memorizing it and meditating on it. We also dwell with God when we commune with Him in prayer and seek His purpose in our lives. ~J.K.

We are privileged to abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

If we are continually dwelling in this place, then the Lord Jesus will take care of us and guide us on a daily basis step by step. Don’t you feel safe when you come to your place of dwelling – your home?  As a child I loved coming home to be in the place where I was loved and protected.  What a wonderful dwelling place we have when we are loved and protected by the Lord!  One day we will reach our ultimate home, our eternal dwelling place to reside with the Lord forevermore.  Will you be there to join me?

Susan @ My Place to Yours

Great thoughts and encouragement. Yes, I do dwell in the secret place of the Most High, but I need to be more intentional about that. In fact, I did a post on “abiding” earlier this week. (Your neighbor at FMF)
