With whom do you spend the most time?
With whom do you spend the most time? Last weekend, my son’s family was out of town. He came over and ate with us and spent the night. The next day he did not have to be anywhere for a few hours so I was privileged to have him around a while.

Spending Time with Those We Love
In fact, I was kind of sad when it was time for my son to leave. I did so enjoy this time. It really gave me a fulfilled feeling and just made my day. It was refreshing and strengthening for the rest of the day’s tasks. I am so thankful that we had a close relationship from the time he was a baby.
As a parent it is important to let your children talk to you and to take time to listen. I can remember often just stopping what I was doing so I could talk and listen to one of my children. This went on through teen years and on into adulthood and is now ongoing even with my married children. How I thank God for this!
He always stops and listens to me. But often I am too busy to stop and talk, to tell Him that I love Him, to tell Him all my cares and burdens and leave them at His feet.
I need to listen to Him say “I care for you”, (1Peter 5:7), then I will know the peace that passes all understanding because I have left my anxieties with Him (Phil 4:7).
I need to ask, seek, knock, and allow Him to give me the good things that He desires to give me (Luke 11:9-13) and especially to give me more of the power of the Holy Spirit upon my life.
How thrilled He is to spend time with me, just as I was with my son.
How fulfilled I feel when I have laid all my petitions, requests, and cares before Him. (aff. link here)
How refreshed and strengthened I am for the day’s tasks that lie ahead. And to think that He too is thrilled when I come to Him. It is not something He is just enduring, He is blessed by my presence – oh now that is a hard one to comprehend.
How He Loves Me! And You! Have you taken time to go to the throne of grace today and to spend time with the one who loves you the most!
Proverbs 8:34-35 Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.
Psalms 103:1-5 <<A Psalm of David.>> Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
