You Get A Line and I’ll Get A Pole

This was used (sung) at a mother-daughter banquet. It was sung to the tune “You Get a Line and I’ll Get a Pole”. (Could be used as a skit)

Used to be I didn’t care, honey, honey
Seldom washed and set my hair, babe, babe,
Sat around and watched TV
My whole life was a drudgery,
Honey, oh baby, mine.

Never had my lipstick on, honey, honey,
Wore my robe from dawn ’til dawn, babe, babe
My husband always looked at me like,
“you aren’t the girl who married me”
honey, oh baby, mine.

Now I’m up at dawn with my lipstick on, honey, honey,
The house is clean and the dishes are done, babe, babe,
Oh, Proverbs 31 has changed my life
My husband says, “Now that’s my wife!”
She’s a honey
She’s my baby
she’s MINE!

We all ought to strive to be Proverbs 31 women.
